New bus stops added to routes

FROM STAFF REPORTS

TRAVERSE CITY -- Public transit officials added new stops to public bus routes to Fife Lake and Kingsley.

The Bay Area Transportation Authority is adding three stops to its route from Traverse City to Fife Lake and Kingsley. There are five trips along the route each weekday.

Riders can board buses at Brownson Avenue and Blair Road, at the Mayfield post office and at River and Garfield roads. Bus drivers along the route have picked up passengers who flagged down the bus, prompting the added stops, officials said.

Visit www.bata.net or call 941-2355 for complete BATA routes and schedules.
