PESHAWBESTOWN — Derek Bailey is the next chairman of the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians. Bailey beat incumbent Robert Kewaygoshkum, who won the initial election in May. The original vote was overturned last month when a tribal court ruled the band's election board improperly censured Bailey just before election day.
