Home ownership workshop scheduled

TRAVERSE CITY -- A workshop to assist area residents with home ownership and financing issues is set for Oct. 4 and is sponsored by the Traverse Bay Poverty Reduction Initiative.

"Home is Where the Heart Is" will be held from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the TBA Career Tech Center at 880 Parsons Road in Traverse City. It will feature workshops on preventing home foreclosures, rental housing assistance, buying a home, budgeting and credit repair, home fix-ups and other topics. The free event will include lunch, and refreshments and day care will be available.
