Tow-truck driver trapped under car

TRAVERSE CITY -- A tow-truck driver suffered severe injuries when he was trapped under a car.

The driver went to help a motorist near the intersection of M-37 and Mill Road in Blair Township early Thursday. The vehicle jumped forward and trapped the driver while he was underneath it, according to a police statement.

The driver was taken to Munson Medical Center with serious injuries and hadn't regained consciousness, Grand Traverse Undersheriff Nathan Alger said.
