Human Rights Commission needs volunteers

TRAVERSE CITY -- Volunteers are needed to apply for an opening on the city's Human Rights Commission.

The position is for an unexpired, three-year term ending in June 2010. To apply, contact the city clerk's office at 922-4480 or print an application from www.traversecitymi.gov.

The nine-member commission works on educational programs that foster respect and understanding between all groups of people and discourage discrimination.
