Man shot at hunters, deputies say
PETOSKEY -- Police arrested a Carp Lake Township man who allegedly shot at hunters while intoxicated. Emmet County sheriff's deputies went to Cecil Bay Road at about 4 p.m. Sunday on a report of a drunken man shooting at bear hunters. The hunters were looking for their dogs when the man, 41, allegedly began shooting in their direction. Deputies arrested the man for discharging a firearm while intoxicated, and more charges likely will follow.
