Electrical substation meeting to be held

GREILICKVILLE -- Wolverine Power Cooperative will hold a meeting to discuss its plans for an electrical substation in Elmwood Township.

Wolverine and its co-op member Cherryland Electric Cooperative want permission from the Michigan Public Service Commission to bypass township ordinances and build the contentious substation at the corner of M-72 and Bugai Road.

The meeting is part of the process for gaining state approval. It's open to the public and is scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Knights of Columbus hall, 13424 S. West Bay Shore Dr.
