ARCADIA -- A man could face criminal charges after he rammed his boat into a pier.
The U.S. Coast Guard responded to a vessel in distress call at about 11 p.m. Wednesday. A 22-foot vessel struck the pier, and four of the five occupants were on the pier when crews arrived.
The driver was still in the boat, and was rescued by guardsmen.
The boat began to take on water and was towed ashore.
Guardsmen suspect the driver of the boat was intoxicated.
