TC man accused of assaulting deputies

TRAVERSE CITY -- A Traverse City man was arrested for allegedly assaulting four Grand Traverse County sheriff's deputies trying to arrest him on an out-of-state warrant.

Eddie Frank Lesure Jr., 35, is charged with four felony counts of assaulting, resisting and obstructing a police officer for the June 7 incident, according to court records.

The charges each carry up to two years in prison.

Deputies tried to arrest Lesure on an outstanding warrant from Mississippi when he allegedly began to resist, records show.

The deputies allegedly received minor injuries.
