Michigan Energy Fair coming soon

ONEKAMA -- The 2009 Michigan Energy Fair will be the last weekend of June at the Onekama Fair Grounds in Manistee County.

This marks the fourth annual event and as many as 8,000 visitors are expected between June 26 and 28.

Keynote speaker will be Larry Flowers from the U.S. Department of Energy and special tours are planned, including the first Michigan-made wind system in Manistee County and a LEED-certified home tour in Kingsley. The event will conclude with wine tasting at the Douglas Valley Farm, vineyards and organic winery and cheese factory.

A Friday pass costs $10, Saturday and Sunday passes are $15 and a weekend pass is $20.
