Teens face breaking and entering charges

FROM STAFF REPORTS

TRAVERSE CITY -- Three teens face criminal charges for allegedly breaking into a business to steal golf clubs.

Cody Lee Feaster, 17, of Grawn, Michael James Harrison Jr., 18, of Beulah, and Daniel Lynn Kelsey III, 17, of Lake Ann, each are charged with a single count of breaking and entering a building with intent.

The owner of Traverse City Golf Center on Secor Road in Long Lake Township told the Grand Traverse Sheriff's Department someone broke into his shop May 10 and stole several golf clubs. Feaster and Kelsey allegedly told a detective they broke in and stole the clubs, court records show.

Harrison allegedly told a detective he was waiting in a car away from the business while the other two were inside. They called him on a cell phone, and he allegedly drove to the business, where the clubs were loaded into the car.
