Man allegedly lit house on fire

TRAVERSE CITY A Williamsburg man faces an arson charge.

Stevan Lee Holley, is charged with arson of a dwelling. He hadn't been arrested Friday morning.

Police and firefighters responded to a fire at Holley's Lautner Road property in March. A house and attached garage were on fire, court records show.

An investigation revealed gasoline was used to start the fire, according to records. Holley told a fire investigator the property was under foreclosure and the bank was taking possession of the property. He had inherited the property from his father and said he couldn't keep up on the mortgage payments, records show.

The property was insured, and Holley allegedly filed a claim after the fire.
