Man allegedly tries to steal from shed

TRAVERSE CITY A man allegedly drove drunk and broke into a storage shed at the BigEazy Rhythm & Blues Grill.

Grand Traverse sheriff's deputies arrested the man Saturday evening for breaking and entering and second-offense operating while impaired.

The man allegedly tried to break into the closed restaurant at 1796 S. Garfield Ave., set off an alarm, then went to a nearby shed. Officers found the man behind the restaurant carrying a crow bar and two boxes from the shed. The man allegedly was under the influence of alcohol and admitted he drove himself to the scene. He was taken to Grand Traverse County Jail pending arraignment.
