May 10, 2008 04:00 am LAKE LEELANAU -- A free Leelanau County Cherry Blossom Tour this weekend will take participants on a scenic bus ride to enjoy the county's countryside and learn about the local cherry industry. Buses will depart the Connie Binsfeld Building in Lake Leelanau every 20 minutes between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday with stops at the historic St. Wenceslaus Church and Cherry Bay Orchard. The tour will focus on the importance of the cherry industry to Leelanau County with descriptions of area farms. A free cherry bratwurst lunch and entertainment will be provided.
