Traverse City VFW Post 2780 members and volunteers took part in the annual raising and lowering over 675 American Flags in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The flags honor fallen Veterans that are buried in the cemetery. The practice stared in 1960 and most flags are the original ones presented to the family by the United States of America at the time of death.
