Created equally

As the New Year approached everyone was making resolutions. Before any decision is made everyone should pray first to God.

Decisions regarding other people by people in power should not be based on cutting jobs, etc., to resolve budgets. All other avenues should be researched before cutting employment, hours or benefits first. We must all consider studying our options before voting for bills, politicians, etc. Get the facts and do not rely on advertisements or other statements.

Remember God created all of us equally important from conception till death.

Carrier got through

The wind out of the south had blown fiercely all night long Friday, making Lee Point Road in Leelanau County almost impassable the next day.

I enjoy reading the Record-Eagle every day delivered to my home. Not really expecting to see it in the tube I walked out through the snow drifts at first light, and there it was. Footprints were drifting over left from my Record-Eagle carrier, Chad.

I really didn’t expect the U.S. mail to be delivered later in the day. And, it wasn’t.

The mail doesn’t go through, but Chad made sure the Record-Eagle did.
