Say ‘welcome home’
Once again, it is Memorial Day. Please take a short moment in this life you were given by God, and veterans, to say a prayer for those who have served and for those now serving.
Remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country, and remember those who are forever changed by injuries received on their watch. Thank a veteran for your freedoms and for giving of his and her time to protect this country. And when you see someone who has served in Vietnam, whether you know that person or not, please, please go to that person and say, “Welcome home and thank you.”
We appreciate the kind words and thanks, even though it has been many years since we came home without a parade, without friendly greetings at the airports and without respect for what we did.
