Traverse City Record-Eagle

---- — Remember and vote

Our Michigan Legislature has been busy (often in the least conspicuous ways) and at the last minute, passing laws to allow doubling of donation limits to political candidates and allowing donors to remain anonymous in contributions to political ads.

They have managed to countermand citizen initiatives on: emergency manager, Right to Work, wolf hunt, medical marijuana and stem cell research.

They have also passed laws to: make voter identification more difficult, tax senior citizen pensions after pledging “no new taxes,” reduce Earned Income Tax Credits and cut school funding by $1 billion dollars while promising better schools

And now legislation has been passed to sabotage women’s health care.

The governor and his party are responsible for much of the suffering in Michigan.

Remember in 2014 and vote.
