---- — Invest in the future
Support Gov. Snyder’s hunting and fishing license proposal.
Currently, hunters and anglers fund conservation in Michigan through license fees and excise taxes on sporting equipment. Gov. Snyder is proposing to streamline the license system, which could raise over $18 million annually for habitat and enforcement work.
Streamlining the system makes sense financially and in return, we can expect transparency and input into how fees are spent. The Department of Natural Resources has already released a list of possible outcomes, including almost $7 million per year in habitat improvements and $4.5 million to hire more conservation officers.
Strategic plans have also been developed. In other words, they’re not just asking for more money, even if it has been 16 years since the last increase. They’re asking for an investment in fish and wildlife in our state from the people who benefit most from those resources, hunters and anglers.
I’m willing to make that investment because it means an improved habitat for the animals I hunt and opportunities for the next generation to continue to enjoy hunting and fishing. Join me in supporting this initiative and the future of hunting and fishing in Michigan.

How many more need to die? Gosh, we found out who is responsible for the Boston Marathon bombing, 9/11, the Ft. Hood massacre (Dr. Hasan still hasn’t been tried), U.S.S. Cole, etc., etc.
Is there a common thread?
What does the Koran say about non-believers, i.e., Jews and Christians? What rights do women have under Islam? Why is it not “politically correct” to discuss these issues and learn what Islam teaches?
Dr. Ben Carson (a pediatric neurosurgeon) says political correctness is a major problem in the U.S. How many of our citizens have to die before we talk about it? 300,000?
In Israel everyone is “profiled” entering and moving through their country with good results. I am ready to give up some privacy (we already have) to gain more security.
