Jihadists were pursued

A reply to your editorial of April 1, "Through the looking glass: Bush's sense of 'normalcy.'"

Your publication has been in favor of the Democratic candidates for the last two cycles and I respect that, although I don't like it, along with the Doonesbury cartoons which always slant toward the left-wing Democrats.

You say, "The Bush administration may be a joke, but what it's done to this country is hardly amusing." Your editorial cartoon is equally amusing with the word "indifferent" depicting a couple of persons named Bush and Cheney. That's just wrong.

The Bush administration has pursued the Islamic jihadists for many years and caught a lot of them, although it hasn't turned out as well as it might have, from the beginning in Iraq and Afghanistan, much in the way of terrorist activities has been averted.

I am going to vote for John McCain, who has a better grasp of the situation than his opponents in the presidential race.

'Awesome' hospital

I would like the people in our area to know what an awesome hospital we have in Munson Medical Center. I was a patient there recently for 13 days, and the care I received was unbelievable.

The doctors and nurses who work at Munson are angels. It is very comforting to know that the employees at Munson show compassion and truly do care for their patients.
