Snow likely tonight

TRAVERSE CITY — Don’t put away the snow shovel just yet.

Forecasters are predicting lake effect snow showers tonight into Saturday morning combined with chilly temperatures. An inch of snow or more is possible in the Grand Traverse region, said Justin Arnott, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Gaylord.

“You’ll probably see some flakes in the air by Friday afternoon followed by lake effect,” Arnott said.

Friday night’s low is expected to be 26 degrees.
