Cadillac advances; Frankfort, Glen Lake fall

Cadillac is the lone survivor from northwest lower Michigan after the boys basketball state quarterfinals were played Tuesday night.

The Vikings (21-4) defeated Big Rapids 41-29 in a Class B game at Ferris State University. Cadillac next plays the winner of the Detroit Country Day/Flint Powers Catholic quarterfinal.

Glen Lake lost a heartbreaker to Negaunee, 56-55, in a Class C matchup at Gaylord. The Lakers were down three with 18 seconds left in the game and had possession of the ball, but couldn't overcome the Miners' lead. Glen Lake ended the season at 23-3 overall.

Wyoming Tri-unity Christian defeated Frankfort (20-6) in a Class D quarterfinal at Comstock Park, 57-33.
