Traverse City: Gas prices going up

TRAVERSE CITY — Area gas stations are raising prices this afternoon. While most posted prices in the $3.01 to $3.06 range this morning, prices around the noon hour were spiking at some, raised to around $3.25. A few still had low prices, but Steve Schechter, manager at the Holiday Stationstore at S. Airport and Cass, said he received an email from headquarters to raise prices.

"I don't know why," he said. "Everyone just went up at the same time."
