Charges filed in August heroin incident
TRAVERSE CITY — A Harbor Springs woman faces a felony heroin possession charge.
Traverse City Police found Susan Graham, 43, unconscious in a Garfield Avenue gas station bathroom in August with a needle “still in her left arm,” court records state.
Officers found a bundle of a substance suspected to be a narcotic in her purse. The substance later tested positive for heroin.
Graham is charged with possession of under 25 grams of heroin, a felony punishable by up to four years in prison.
Her discovery in the gas station bathroom coincided with several other mid-August incidents involving heroin, including the suspected overdose of a Traverse City woman, 20, who wasn’t breathing and had no pulse when brought to the Traverse City Police Department. An officer revived her.
Authorities at the time said it appeared a very high-quality batch of heroin made its way to Traverse City shortly before the incidents.
