Leelanau Chamber to get new website

TRAVERSE CITY — It’s time for a makeover for the Leelanau Peninsula Chamber of Commerce’s website.

Leelanau County Commissioners voted to allocate up to $10,000 in 2 percent grant money earmarked for economic development to go to the Leelanau Peninsula Chamber to develop a new website.

Creating a new site is so expensive because it will be connected to other pages like county, township and other websites as well as have other special features, said Sally Guzowski, the Chamber’s executive director.

“We just feel this website is going to better represent Leelanau County businesses as a whole,” Guzowski said.
