Autopsy: No signs of foul play in Bingham Township death

TRAVERSE CITY — A Canton man, 20, who died in Leelanau County’s Bingham Township didn’t show any signs of trauma, injury or foul play, an autopsy report stated.

Maxwell J. Pardington died June 10. Leelanau County sheriff’s Lt. Clint Kerr said an autopsy conducted at a Spectrum Health hospital in Grand Rapids found Pardington had some health issues that “may have contributed” to his death.

“We’re waiting for toxicology to see if that ties in,” Kerr said.

A toxicology report could take 30 days or more.

Kerr said Pardington worked at a local vineyard and had a family home in the area.
