TRAVERSE CITY — A “Hiring Our Heroes” job fair for veterans, active duty military members, guard and reserve members and military spouses is slated for April 23 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Hagerty Conference Center on 715 E. Front St.
Employers may register through April 15. Participants are encouraged to pre-register as well. Both employers and job-seekers may register online at www.uschamber.com/hiringourheroes/traverse-city-mi.
Pre-registered participants are eligible to attend an employment workshop, a one-hour session beginning at 9 a.m. Conducted by the Traverse Area Human Resources Association, the workshop will include interview skills and resume-building tips. TAHRA members will also conduct one-on-one mentoring sessions to help build interview skills and develop resumes. This workshop also takes place at the Hagerty Conference Center.
Job seekers are encouraged to dress professionally. Resumes may be uploaded during the online registration process. Every attached will be sent to every registered employer.
