Thanksgiving meals set across region

Holiday meals are set in the following communities:

- Bear Lake United Methodist Church will host a free Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday from noon to 3 p.m. Everyone is invited.

- The Gaylord community is invited to Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday at the St. Mary's Cathedral Parish Hall, 606 N. Ohio, with appetizers and fellowship at 2 p.m. and the meal at 3 p.m. For details, if planning to attend, or to donate time or money, call (989) 732-2119.

- Grawn United Methodist Church invites the community to a free Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday from noon to 2 p.m. at the church, 1260 W. Silver Lake Road. Call 943-8353.

- In Traverse City, the Community Meals Program will serve its 24th Community Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1003 S. Maple St. Meal delivery will start at 11:15 a.m. Call Shannon Allen, 326-6969, for questions or details about donations. To share the names of shut-ins or those who will be alone on the holiday, call Sandra Svec, 276-7130 or 313-9792.
