From staff reports

TRAVERSE CITY — An 18-year-old Traverse City man died after he apparently crashed a stolen taxi cab.

Traverse City Police learned the victim's identity late Saturday morning. Authorities did not immediately release the victim's name.

Police said they were called to the 100 block of South Union Street on Saturday at about 2:30 a.m. after being informed that someone had stolen a taxi that was unattended but running.
