UpNorth TV to air series on religion

TRAVERSE CITY — UpNorth TV pulled together panelists representing six different belief systems for a conversation about religious expression, public displays, discrimination and tolerance, an event prompted by controversy over a church's censorship of a Muslim prayer in a Veteran's Day concert piece.

In the two-part series, host Kimberli Bindschatel reviewed religion's role on CrossTalk North, a weekly exploration of local issues on public-access television, UpNorth TV, channels 97 and 992.

Part 1 of the "The Boundaries of Belief" airs today at 8 p.m. Part 2 debuts Monday at 7:30 p.m. with encore presentations on Jan. 3 and Jan. 4 at 8 p.m. Both episodes will be available on demand at www.UpNorthMedia.org.
