Man accused of selling counterfeit items

TRAVERSE CITY — The owner of a Traverse City sports retail store is accused of selling clothing with fake logos.

A federal grand jury indicted Terry Jay Harrison for trafficking counterfeit goods. Harrison owns Sportz Emporium Collectibles & More in Traverse city and Sportz R Us in Okemos, federal court records state.

Authorities said Harrison knowingly sold goods bearing counterfeit logos representing the Detroit Lions, Detroit Red Wings, Nike and University of Michigan, among other teams.

Authorities seized 9,487 counterfeit articles from the two stores in January.
