---- — TRAVERSE CITY — Two more candidates want to occupy the vacant seat on Traverse City Area Public Schools’ Board of Education.
Pamela Kasier, of Long Lake Township, and James Bruno, of Peninsula Township, joined a growing list of applicants to fill a TCAPS board seat recently vacated by Marjorie Rich.
Kaiser is an education consultant and Bruno is a senior vice president and financial adviser at Morgan Stanley.
Kaiser’s and Bruno’s applications coincided with former Grand Traverse County Commissioner Rob Hentschel’s decision to withdraw from consideration for the board vacancy.
Hentschel said he originally applied because of an initial lack of interest shown by other community members.
