Man faces morphine possession charges
TRAVERSE CITY — A Traverse City man is accused of morphine possession.
A warrant was authorized for Dustin Laver Miller, 28, for possession of narcotics. Miller’s case is aggravated by his habitual offender status.
Miller was convicted of marijuana use in 2008 and has twice been convicted of a felony or attempt to commit a felony, according to court documents.
Grand Traverse County deputies pulled Miller over and matched his name to an existing bench warrant. They subsequently found a small bottle of a gooey substance in his pocket, Noelle Moeggenberg, the Grand Traverse County chief assistant prosecutor, said.
Deputies reported that Miller admitted the substance was a morphine mixture, which was confirmed by the Michigan State Police forensics lab.
