TRAVERSE CITY — A Traverse City man is facing drug and firearms charges.
Deputies on March 16 were dispatched to a home on Linwood Lane on a disorderly person complaint, court documents show.
The homeowner reported Laurec Francisco Woods, 28, had broken items, including a door and a window. Deputies said Woods had been staying at the home.
Deputies stopped the suspect at Barlow Street and South Airport Road and smelled marijuana, authorities said. Woods told deputies he had Norco and ecstasy in his possession, according to court documents.
They located a pistol strapped to Woods’ ankle under his pant leg, authorities said.
He is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine, and carrying a concealed weapon.
Woods is held in Grand Traverse County Jail on $250,000 cash or surety bond.
