Paul Alpers Jr. identified his father, Paul Alpers Sr., in the History Center of Traverse City archive photo published in the May 21 Community section.
Alpers said his father is the gentleman on the far left in the dark suit coat and white shirt. Alpers said his father was president of the Traverse City shuffleboard club for six years. He noted that the photo was most likely taken at a national shuffleboard tournament held in Traverse City.
Cheryl Morgan identified Harold "Doc" Aeschliman and his wife, Veronica in the photo. She said "Doc" Aeschliman is the tall man standing behind the trophy on the table. His wife is the woman standing to the left of the trophy.
