Rev. Whitman’s wife at present is at Bear Lake for her health, she having recently suffered a nervous collapse, and the news of her husband’s tragic end has not been broken to her. It is feared that the shock would prove fatal. Besides the widow, Rev. Whitman is survived by a 13-year-old daughter.

- MRS. MARTHA DEGRAW, wife of Ernest DeGraw of Mapleton, died Monday morning at the home of George DeGraw, 903 Cass St., where she was brought for an operation for goiter. Mrs. DeGraw was 35 years of age.
