- AN EASTER DANCE PARTY that was given by the Knights of Columbus at the City Opera House was the most enjoyable of any that this organization has ever held. The Committee in charge by Will Shuttler left nothing undone. Charles Darrow, window trimmer, carried out the color theme with white lattice work entwined with flowers and green bunting. The Halberg Orchestra filled the dance floor with music enjoyed by many dancers.

- A DANGEROUS RUNAWAY occurred this morning when a team of horses driven by Charles Germain were frightened and they began running down Washington Street and tried to turn the corner at Boardman Avenue. Germaine was thrown from the buggy. He sustained minor injuries as did another person riding with him. Unfortunately, a horse broke his leg and had to be put down.

- BOYS SCHOOL PANTS and Knickerbockers, size 6 to 11, are on sale at Hannah & Lay Mercantile Company for 50 cents. Your choice of corduroys and fancies.

- LET FRANK TRUDE do all your plumbing work. We can connect sewer and water lines to the city, as well as any other plumbing work you may need. Come in and let us figure your work.

- POSTMASTER FRIEDRICH has ordered a new combination parcel and mail box to be placed in the vestibule of the Post Office to accommodate after hours needs.

- THE PREVAILING PRICE for a load of potatoes was 58 cents for the forty loads brought in to the city market.

- DON’T FORGET THE MACABEES dance this Friday to be held in the Forester’s Hall in the Majestic Block.

- “SHIPWRECKED IN ICEBERGS” will be showing at the Star Theater. This portrays the Titanic disaster and is the greatest moving picture masterpiece ever shown on the screen. This picture is the only one of its kind and has only been shown in Detroit and Grand Rapids
