Slabtown meeting

TRAVERSE CITY — The Slabtown Neighborhood Association will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, at Traverse Bay United Methodist Church, 1200 Ramsdell Road.

Cancer benefit

TRAVERSE CITY — Table rentals are available for the VFW 2780 Ladies Auxiliary’s bazaar, bake sale and craft show to benefit cancer aid and research.

The fundraiser will be hosted from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at the VFW, 3400 Veterans Dr. The rental fee is $20 without electric; $25 with electric. For details, call 947-5513.

Rhythmic Circus

TRAVERSE CITY — Rhythmic Circus brings its rapid-fire tap dancing to the Milliken Auditorium stage on Saturday, Oct. 26.

The troupe features four tap dancers, a one-man beat box and a six-piece band in a production titled “Feet Don’t Fail Me Now,” which has been performed in more than 90 cities worldwide.

The performance starts at 8 p.m. in Milliken Auditorium at the Dennos Museum Center, 1410 College Dr. The museum center galleries open one hour prior to the concert for ticket holders, who also are invited to a post-concert reception with the performers.

Cape Dorset sale

TRAVERSE CITY — The Dennos Museum is the official U.S. site for the 2013 Cape Dorset Print Collection exhibition and sale. The exhibit opens Sunday, Oct. 13, and continues through Dec. 1.

A reception will begin at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, at the Dennos Museum, 1410 College Dr. It is free and open to the public. A sale will be conducted by lottery.
