TRAVERSE CITY — Dave Eitland and Dr. Phil Ellis will discuss “Creative Giving and Your Bucket List” on Monday, Aug. 26, as part of the Successful Aging Series at the Grand Traverse Pavilions.
The free program starts at 2 p.m. at the Pavilions off South Elmwood Avenue. The public is invited. Eitland is development and gift planning director for Grand Traverse Pavilions Foundation. Ellis is director of the Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation.

Birds and bugs
TRAVERSE CITY — Saving Birds Thru Habitat will sponsor a virtual “Bird n Bug Safari” and Wings of Wonder will introduce visitors to raptors in conjunction with the Dennos Museum Center’s “Birds of Paradise: Amazing Avian Evolution” exhibit.
The safari will start at 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, at the museum center, 1410 College Dr. Participants of all ages will learn about challenges faced by migrating birds.
“A Birds-Eye View: An Interactive Raptor Experience” will start at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30. Participants should meet in the museum center lobby.
