WILLIAMSBURG — The Williamsburg United Methodist Church’s Strawberry Social will be held Saturday, June 15.

‘No Ants’ picnic
TRAVERSE CITY — Reservations are due Monday, June 17, for the Delta Kappa Gamma Traverse City Phi Chapter’s annual “No Ants” picnic.
The group will meet at noon Wednesday, June 19, at the home of Beth Bynum. Members should bring an item for a salad or dessert. Beverages will be provided.

OMENA — Genuine Leelanau co-presidents Cherryll Frick and Molly Phinny and the Board will present Saving Birds Thru Habitat with a $1,000 donation on Thursday, June 20, at a fundraiser they are hosting for the Laundry project.
The cocktail-hour event will start at 6 p.m. at the Habitat Discovery Center, 5020 N. Putnam Road. Guided birding hikes also will be offered. Tickets are $50 per person and proceeds benefit the Laundry Project, which offers free laundry days to Leelanau residents in need.

TRAVERSE CITY — The Peninsula Community Library has announced several upcoming programs.
The community is invited to pack a picnic and blanket and join the library for an outdoor concert during the summer months. The first concert will start at 6 p.m. Monday, June 17, at the library, 2699 Island View Road. It will feature Peter, Paul & Mary Remembered.
The Friends of the Peninsula Community Library will host a program by Jill Tewsley, executive director of the National Writers Series, at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 19. A short business meeting will precede the program.
Pageturners, the library’s book group, will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 20, to discuss “The Art Forger” by B.A. Shapiro. New members are welcome and copies of the book are available at the library on a first come, first served basis.

TRAVERSE CITY — The Community Stewardship Series will hold a wine tour of Michigan Agriculture Environmental Assurance Program (MAEAP) verified wineries for interested individuals ages 21 and older.
