TRAVERSE CITY — Shoreline Center for Healing, 402 S. Union St., will offer “De-Stress” acupuncture from 5-9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, during Traverse City’s Ladies Night. The cost is $10 and walk-ins are welcome. Visit for details.

Holiday open house

TRAVERSE CITY — The East Bay Branch library, 1989 Three Mile Road, will host a holiday open house on Thursday, Dec. 12.

The event will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. with entertainment by Glenn Wolff and Robin Lee Berry. The community is welcome. Call 922-2085 to learn more.

Book and bake sale

BELLAIRE — The Friends of the Bellaire Public Library will host a Book & Bake Sale.

The sale will be held from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, at the library, 111 Bridge St. There will be adult and children’s books suitable for gift giving and a selection of homemade baked goods.

Sweet Shoppe

GRAWN — Homemade Christmas cookies, candies and fudge will be featured at Grawn United Methodist Church’s 13th annual Sweet Shoppe.

The event will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at the church, 1260 W. Silver Lake Road. Crafts created by church members and outside crafters also will be on sale along with a selection of quilts. Lunch also will be available. To learn more, call 645-5431.

Winter concert

TRAVERSE CITY — A Winter’s Concert/Benefit will help provide goods and wellness services to individuals affected by illness or trauma in the Traverse City area.

The concert starts at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13 at the TC Circuit, 225 W. 14th St. Featured performers include hoop dancer Tyra, Terry Wooten, Aaron Wayne Otto, Parallel, Chris Sterr, Jeff Haas and Joshua Davis, Laure Sears, Steve Stargardt and Bill Sears, Samantha Cooper, The TC Sings Community Chorus, Miriam Pico and Al Jankowski, Freya, Saldaje, Rokko Jans and Jeff Gibbs.

Tickets are $15 in advance at or at the door; $12 with a donation of non-perishable items.
