• David and Jared Milarch are winners of Honorary Memberships from the International Society of Arboriculture.

The father and son team preserves the genetics of significant trees through the Archangel Ancient Tree Archive based in Copemish.

David Milarch launched the Michigan Champion Tree Project in 1996 to save the genetics of old forest giants and reproduce them for future generations.

Today, there are many archival living libraries of trees spawned from this project including the 9-11 Memorial in New York City and at the Pentagon.

In 2008, the Archangel Ancient Tree Archive was founded to carry on the mission of tree collection, research and production.
