• Mt. Holiday needs volunteers from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., today, Saturday, April 27, to help close down the slopes for the year. Bring work gloves, rakes, shovels, etc. to put the ski hill to bed, clean up trash, wash windows and clean the lodge. Come for a few hours or all day.
• Samels Family Heritage Society is seeking volunteers to help with the education of local youth, to maintain and help renovate the farm buildings, to help hunt for ancient artifacts, to help with demonstrations, to plant, grow, cultivate, pick and sell local produce, and to offer any and all kinds of “helping hands.” The Samels Farm is a not-for-profit centennial farm in Williamsburg that was donated to help educate about life on a farm at the turn of the century.

• The City of Traverse City Clerk’s Office is seeking energetic, computer-proficient individuals to work the polls on Election Day. Election Inspectors will need to commit to working from 6 a.m. until approximately 10 p.m. on Election Day, attend mandatory certification/training classes, and be a registered voter. Wages are $10 per hour.
