TRAVERSE CITY — Four master pianists on four grand pianos will give a performance on Sunday, Sept. 22, as part of the Mel Larimer Concert Series.
The Piano Extravaganza will start at 4 p.m. at the First Congregational Church, 6105 Center Road. TRAVERSE CITY — Chris Bickley and the Bay Area Big Band All-Stars with emcee and vocalist Dominic Fortuna will provide the entertainment for Generations Gala 15, sponsored by the Grand Traverse Pavilions Foundation.
The fundraiser will celebrate its 15th anniversary starting at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Hagerty Center, 715 E. Front St. There will be silent and live auctions, a catered reception, a gourmet dinner, music and dancing. Tickets are $75 each. Day of Peace
TRAVERSE CITY — International Day of Peace will be celebrated locally on Saturday, Sept. 21.
Northern Michigan Chapter 50 Veterans for Peace are planning activities that include the placing of a Peace Pole at Hannah Park in the mid-afternoon. Other activities will be announced in the near future.
TRAVERSE CITY — Traverse City residents are invited to submit applications to serve on one of the city’s citizen boards or committees.
Seats are available on the Planning Commission, the Housing Commission and the Brown Bridge Advisory Committee. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis for all boards and commissions and are kept on file for one year. Applicants must not be in default to the City.
