TRAVERSE CITY — Prepaid reservations are due Thursday, June 5, for the next luncheon meeting of the Village at Bay Ridge Book Club.

Leelanau Dems host dinner
LELAND — The Leelanau Democratic Party’s bi-annual dinner will have the theme “Make A Difference-Vote.”
The event will be hosted on Friday, June 6, at the Leland Lodge. Kids’ writing workshops
TRAVERSE CITY — The National Writers Series and Front Street Writers will offer a variety of creative writing workshops this summer for students in grades three through 12.
“Writing Has Never Been This Fun” workshops will be taught by publishing professionals, published authors and educators. Most workshops will meet at the Front Street Writers Studio, 123 W. TRAVERSE CITY — The schooner Madeline is ready for the summer sailing season and is accepting reservations.
Heritage sails are open to the general public and community sails are open to nonprofit groups that submit a letter requesting a sail date.
