Dow Gardens day trip

FRANKFORT — Open registration is under way for a day trip to Dow Gardens in Midland on June 18.

The Blue Lakes Charter and Tours bus will leave Frankfort in the morning and return the same evening. The $50 cost per person includes round-trip travel, a guided tour of the gardens, lunch and a concert. Wagbo program and potluck

EAST JORDAN — Martha Wagbo Farm and Education Center, 5745 N. M-66, will offer a program on spring wild edibles and host a community potluck on Saturday, May 24.

The program starts at 1 p.m. Participants will learn to identify about 12 edible plants found in this area. Recipes will be shared and there will be foraged samples and a wild salad. The potluck starts at 2 p.m. Attendees may bring a dish to share if they can, however this is not required.
