DKG meeting

TRAVERSE CITY — Delta Kappa Gamma Traverse City Phi Chapter will meet on Tuesday, May 20.

The meeting starts at 5 p.m. at the Traverse Bay Area Intermediate School District Conference Center. The Geraldine Pagel Scholarship plus chapter and state awards will be presented. A $6 soup and salad dinner will be served.

Garden club meets

ACME — Duke Elsner, MSU Extension entomologist, will talk about insects at the Tuesday, May 20, meeting of the Sweetwater Evening Garden Club.

LWVLC meeting and dinner

LELAND — The League of Women Voters Leelanau County will hold their annual meeting and dinner on Thursday, May 22.

The meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. with a cash bar. A buffet dinner at 6 p.m., will be followed by the annual business meeting at 8:15 p.m. and a program by Michigan Supreme Court Justice Bridget Mary McCormack. The public is invited.

Tickets for the dinner and Justice McCormack’s presentation are $30 and reservations are required. For tickets and details, call 386-5106 or 386-9049.

Workshopon finances

TRAVERSE CITY — The Northwest Michigan Community Action Agency will hold an orientation session Monday, May 19, for its Individual Development Account Program.
