Trail building days

BELLAIRE — The Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy will hold trail building workdays during May at Glacial Hills, 2795-3417 S. Eckhardt Road.

March for equality

TRAVERSE CITY — Social Justice Action of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Grand Traverse will sponsor a May Day March for Marriage Equality Thursday, May 1.

Participants should meet at 4:45 p.m. at Legion Park at Cass and Washington streets. The group will march through downtown from about 5 to 6 p.m. with signs to carry and share.

Blood drive

BELLAIRE — Michigan Blood will make a donation to Shanty Creek’s Relay for Life team for each person who attempts to donate blood at a drive on Friday, May 2.

The blood drive will be held from noon-4 p.m. in Parlors F & G (Lakeview Hotel) at Shanty Creek Resort. Michigan Blood will donate $20 to the Relay for Life team. Proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.

Vintage art

TRAVERSE CITY — Artist Scott Wilson will present a rare collection of reproductions at Peninsula Studios, 102 S. Union St.

Book sale

GRAWN — The Blair Library Committee will hold a book sale from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, May 3, at the Book-Stor, located between the Pantry Shelf and Rico’s. Proceeds will be used to help build a library in Blair Township. For details, call Karen Giddis, 218-4266.
