Volunteer training

TRAVERSE CITY — Volunteer Services, the Michigan Guardianship Association and local resources will provide a two-part in-service and new guardian training for guardians, conservators, volunteers, family members and other interested individuals.

Training sessions will meet from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, and Thursday, May 8, on the lower level at the Robert P. Griffin Hall of Justice, 280 Washington St. Participants should arrive by 5:15 p.m to ensure entrance into the building and to clear security. For details or to register, call 922-4827.

Commission on Aging

TRAVERSE CITY — The Grand Traverse County Commission on Aging will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, at the Commission on Aging office, 520 W. Front St., suite B. For details, call 922-4688.

iPad class

TRAVERSE CITY — The Senior Center Network will offer a series of iPad classes starting Wednesday, May 7.

Sessions are $5 each and will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesdays at the Traverse City Senior Center, 801 E. Front St., for one hour of instruction.

Separate classes will be held for beginner, intermediate and advanced levels and participants should bring their iPad.

There also will be an open question and answer class.
