Torch area potluck
EASTPORT — The Upper Torch Lake Association will hold its monthly potluck dinner Monday, March 11, at the Torch Lake Township Community Services building, U.S. 31.
A 6 p.m. social hour will be followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. All area residents are invited and are asked to bring a favorite beverage, table service and a dish to share with a list of its ingredients.
TRAVERSE CITY — The American Association of University Women will sponsor a program on Tuesday, March 12, featuring Northwestern Michigan College international students, who will discuss what it’s like to study in Traverse City.

TRAVERSE CITY — The next Cottage Coffee at Hawthorn Cottage at the Grand Traverse Pavilions will feature Tom Birgy, an account liaison for Heartland Home Health Care.
Birgy will discuss his recent medical mission trip to Guatemala and Nepal at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 12. The program is free and open to the public. For details, call 932-3027.
Momix on stage
INTERLOCHEN — Momix will bring its fluid, athletic choreography blended with music, outrageous costumes and inventive props to Corson Auditorium on Wednesday, March 13.

Lenten lunch series
TRAVERSE CITY — The Rev. Polycarp from St. Francis Catholic Church and Fred Szczepanski, music director at St. Francis, will give the message and music at the Thursday, March 14, Community Lenten Luncheon.
The soup and sandwich meal will be served at 11:30 a.m. at The Presbyterian Church, 701 Westminster, followed by music at noon and the message from 12:30 to 1 p.m. A $3 donation for the meal is suggested and proceeds benefit local missions. Both men and women are invited. For details, call 938-1387.
